Enviro Care Engineers, based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is one of India's leading manufacturers of gasifier crematoriums. Our wood-based gasifier crematorium systems are designed for communities and institutions that require a reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally managed alternative to gas or electric cremation — particularly in areas where commercial fuel supply is limited or where wood-based cremation holds cultural and traditional significance.
Every gasifier crematorium we manufacture is built around a proven double-chamber furnace design, integrated pollution control systems, and high-quality refractory materials — delivering efficient, dignified, and compliant cremation with a long service life and minimal maintenance demands.
What is a Gasifier Crematorium?
A gasifier crematorium uses a wood gasifier system to generate combustible gas from biomass fuel, which is then used to fire the cremation furnace. This approach provides more controlled and efficient combustion compared to traditional open-air wood cremation, while significantly reducing wood consumption per cremation cycle. The closed combustion design, combined with integrated air and water pollution control systems, ensures that the process meets environmental standards and is safe for surrounding communities.
Gasifier crematoriums are particularly well suited to rural and semi-urban locations, institutions with access to local wood supply, and communities where cultural practices favour wood-based cremation within a structured, enclosed facility.
Gasifier Crematorium Equipment We Manufacture and Supply
Enviro Care Engineers manufactures, supplies, and installs the complete range of equipment required for a fully operational gasifier crematorium. Every component is produced at our Coimbatore facility to consistent quality standards, with full installation and commissioning support provided on-site.
Our gasifier crematorium supply scope covers the double-chamber cremation furnace with primary and secondary combustion chambers, the wood gasifier unit with all associated accessories and connecting MS pipelines from the gasifier to the cremation furnace, the fresh air blower with a suitably rated motor, the human body charging trolley for safe and dignified loading, and the crematorium control panel board for operational management of all equipment.
On the pollution control side, we supply and install the complete air pollution control train — comprising a venturi scrubber with cyclone separator, wash column, and induced draft fan with motor — as well as the water pollution control system, which includes an effluent treatment plant with roots blower and motor. The installation is completed with a 30-metre self-supported stack chimney with full smoke pipeline, designed and erected to Pollution Control Board specifications.
Gasifier Crematorium Design and Construction
Our gasifier crematorium design is developed around two priorities: fuel efficiency and long furnace life. The cremation furnace is constructed using high-quality refractory bricks, refractory linings, and castables selected for their ability to withstand sustained high-temperature operation. This materials quality directly reduces wood consumption per cremation cycle, accelerates the cremation process, and extends the operational life of the furnace with minimal maintenance requirements.
The double-chamber configuration ensures that combustion gases from the primary cremation chamber are fully burned in the secondary chamber before entering the pollution control train. This afterburning stage is critical to achieving low-emission, odour-controlled operation — making our gasifier crematoriums suitable for community settings where proximity to residential areas and public spaces must be considered.
The wood gasifier is integrated with the furnace via a carefully designed pipework arrangement that delivers consistent gas flow and maintains stable combustion temperatures throughout the cremation cycle.
Gasifier Crematorium Technical Specifications
Our standard gasifier crematorium is built to the following operational parameters. The furnace is a double-chamber design with separate primary and secondary combustion chambers. Average cremation time per body is 60 to 90 minutes. Ash collection is possible within 60 minutes of cremation completion. Wood consumption per body cremation is approximately 60 to 80 kilograms, with reduced consumption for continuous back-to-back cremation cycles.
The air pollution control system comprises a cyclone separator with venturi scrubber, wash column, and induced draft fan with motor. The water pollution control system is an effluent treatment plant with roots blower and motor. The stack chimney is a self-supported structure of 30 metres height, designed to Pollution Control Board standards.
Gasifier Crematorium Services
Enviro Care Engineers provides end-to-end services for gasifier crematoriums from initial consultation through to long-term operational support. Beyond the initial warranty and maintenance period, we continue to be available for scheduled preventive maintenance, emergency breakdown response, and supply of all spare parts, consumables, and accessories required to keep your gasifier crematorium running reliably. Our service network covers Tamil Nadu and the wider South India region, with the capability to deploy teams anywhere in India when required.
Why Choose a Gasifier Crematorium from Enviro Care Engineers
Our gasifier crematoriums offer a practical, affordable, and culturally appropriate cremation solution with a lower capital cost than electric crematoriums and no dependency on commercial LPG supply. The use of locally available wood fuel keeps operating costs predictable and manageable, making gasifier crematoriums an economically sound long-term investment for community trusts, municipal bodies, and charitable institutions.
Compared to open-air wood cremation, our enclosed gasifier crematorium reduces wood consumption significantly, eliminates uncontrolled smoke and odour, and provides families with a dignified, structured environment for last rites and cremation. The pollution control systems ensure the facility operates within regulatory compliance, protecting both the community and the institution from environmental liability.
With more than 17 years of crematorium engineering experience and a proven installation base across South India, Enviro Care Engineers brings the technical knowledge and after-sales commitment that institutions need when making a long-term infrastructure investment.
